<description>NotesPro v1.3 has been approved by Apple and is now available for download in the AppStore.

Please make sure you download it from your AppStore on your device, and not inside of iTunes. Users have reported some issues downloading it from iTunes and syncing &#45; but no problems when doing it from inside the device.

Also remember &#45; we moved the settings into a more convenient spot inside the application itself (it will come up on first load, and you can get to it again by clicking on the &#39;More&#39; tab). Make sure you write down any settings you had in previous versions as once you upgrade you will be required to put them in again.

Any future upgrades should carry the new settings from this point forward. Moving the settings in&#45;app helps you be able to quickly change things like number of emails to download or calendar ranges without having to exit and restart the app.NotesPro v1.3 has been approved by Apple and is now available for download in the AppStore. <title>Push Notification of events in Notes Pro</title>
      <link>http://www.jminteractive.com/index.php/blog/push_notification_of_events_in_notes_pro/</link>
      <guid>http://www.jminteractive.com/index.php/ blog/push_notification_of_events_in_notes_pro/#When:17:01:26Z</guid>
<description>Apple has officially announced version 3.0 of their iPhone software and with this comes an important announcement for Notes Pro &#45; the addition of Push notification. But &#45; like all good things &#45; it has its drawbacks.

Apple’s push notification requires a central server on the developer’s end to push notifications to Apple. What this means is that to implement this feature Notes Pro would require your Lotus Notes server to send a central JM Interactive server data and then the server at JM Interactive server would push notification out to your phone.

We haven’t tested whether this is even feasable yet &#45; as the Push servers are not available to developers &#45; but we would like to know if this is something our potential and current users would be interested in. We could have varying levels of notification as well &#45; a simple badge alerting you of a new email &#45; or a verbose popup with the sender and/or subject line. Per Apple, these notifications are not 100% reliable nor are they secure, so this is something to take into consideration as well.

Please take a second to answer the poll on the side of the website and let us know your preference.

Lastly &#45; a little more about their announcement. They have still not opened up the calendaring application to external apps. This means &#45; for the time being &#45; that using the calendar on Notes Pro will stay within Notes Pro and cannot sync up to your iPhone’s internal calendar. This is a limitation of the SDK we hope will be lifted in so we can fully integrate into the iPhone in a future version of Notes Pro.Apple has officially announced version 3.0 of their iPhone software and with this comes an important announcement for Notes Pro &#45; the addition of Push notification.
